Dan Olvera

As a toddler, I remember seeing images in the linoleum flooring as I stared down at my toes trying to get from point A to point B. One image that comes to mind is that of a pseudo Woody Wood Pecker type character hanging ten on a surfboard. I don’t know why I remember that, but there it is. In retrospect, light, shadow, color and shapes all seemed to have a meaning for me even at that young age. Now at the ripe old age of 50+ nothing has changed much. I’m still seeing things and making the most of it concerning the genre that I enjoy working in, abstract art. I have chosen photography as the media in which to create my work and it has been a challenging and self-rewarding one.
