The Great Jambino

The Great Jambino

Presents…

 Biggs, TYLR, & Papa Skunk

Arlington Heights, IL – On Saturday, March 10th Paper Crown Gallery will be hosting our second event in our musical series called “The Great Jambino”. The philosophy of this series is to showcase and promote local musicians who encompass a wide spectrum of musical styles, sounds, and energies. Our goal is to provide a renaissance atmosphere that encourages and embraces the unlimited avenues of self-expression including but not limited to music visual art and performance art.

This March we will be hosting a DJ Party featuring two local acts Bigg’s and TYLR . Headlining the series will be Papa Skunk. Doors open at 9pm.

Based in Elmhurst, Biggs specializes in a sick mix of BASS Music – Dubstep/Glitch hop Electro House/Dub moombahton. He “brings high intensity crunchy beats from your eardrums to your feet”.

Located in Chicago Illinois, TYLR is breaking onto the scene with a fresh sound and an arsenal of heavy hitters and smooth bangers. Every set is a heady blend of bass music ranging from lazer blaps and glitch hop to juke and dubstep. Whether you’re looking for all original beats with live drums and keys or just a straight up banger DJ set TYLR brings it.

Papa Skunk (Dan Scheidt) is a bass music producer based out of Denver, CO and a member of the Mile High Sound Movement. Growing up outside of Chicago, Dan began playing music at the age of 11 but didn’t produce electronic music until moving to Colorado for college. After spending two years defining his sound, Papa Skunk was born in late 2010. Since then, he has performed all over the country at concerts and festivals from Colorado to New York City.
Papa Skunk’s music is an evolving journey through bass music rooted in glitch hop, dubstep, house, and electro. All his releases with Tycho Records were featured genre releases on Beatport and have charted singles. Papa Skunk’s remix of Marcy Playground’s “Sex and Candy” has gone on to great success receiving 30,000 YouTube views in the first week and getting in the top 5 of Soundcloud’s “Hot Tracks.” With remixes coming out on high profile labels 1320 Records and Simplify Recordings, 2012 is looking to be a breakout year for Papa Skunk.
